Ruidoso Downs Race Horse Hall of
Fame
The Hubbard Museum of the American
West is right next door to the world-famous
Ruidoso Downs Race Track, home of the $2 million
All American Futurity, the world's richest and
most coveted of all Quarter Horse races. The Museum
is now the permanent home of the Ruidoso Downs
Race Horse Hall of Fame, a growing historic
collection of facts and artifacts from the colorful world of horse
racing. Legendary horses, famous jockeys,
beautiful trophies and rare videos comprise part
of this exhibit.

Plus, you'll be able to mount a jockey's saddle
and don the helmet and goggles in a genuine
antique starting gate for another great photo
opportunity!
This permanent exhibit also includes material
and artifacts relating to Ruidoso Downs and the
winners of the All American Futurity. Horse
enthusiasts of all types will enjoy this look back
at some of the world's finest equine athletes.

2005 All American Winner
Teller Cartel Wins All American Futurity
Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico –
Right Time For The
First Time
If there is ever the best time for a horse to win his
or her first race it must be when the horse can earn
$1 million by winning the $1.9 million All American
Futurity. That is exactly what Teller Cartel did when
he won the 2005 All American Futurity.
Trained by Paul Jones and ridden by Cody Jenson,
Teller Cartel raced over a muddy track to win by a
neck over New Mexico-bred Arealstraitheart in 21.504
seconds for the 440 yards. Another neck back in third
was Brindis Por Cayenne. It was the first All American
victory for national training champion Jones and
Jenson.
Teller Cartel, a son of Corona Cartel, was making his
fourth career start after racing to two seconds and a
third in his three previous starts.
Teller Cartel is owned by the Teller Cartel
Syndicate, which consists of Dan and Leann Adams, Mel
Bollenbach, Henry and Mimi Brown, Barry Cooper, Walt
and Janice Knorpp, Carlos Lopez, Gene and Diane
Ralston, Rachuan Suarez, P.K. Thomas, Jerry and Pat
Windham, F.E. "Butch" and Nancy Wise, Terry Wooten and
Joe David Yates.
Teller Cartel thrilled all of those owners and the
fans by winning his first race in quarter horse
racing's richest race.
