Group Tours for Schools
The Hubbard Museum has a variety of tours available for school and youth organizations. Guided tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance. Special events and tours may require additional fees. We are happy to tailor school tours to meet the particular interests of the teacher, but must have at least two weeks notice to prepare. Currently, our school tour activities include pioneer life, pioneer food, ancient New Mexico, panning for gold, mining in New Mexico, tours of all exhibits, and special activities for traveling exhibits. We can develop lessons on special topics to help teachers meet their learning goals for students. Just give us a call at 575-378-4142 x 235 and ask for the Curator of Education.
Fees:
- Free for school sponsored trips from Lincoln County and Mescalero schools. One adult chaperone per 10 students is admitted free. Additional adults are $3/person.
- $1.00 per student for school sponsored groups from other counties. One adult chaperone per each 10 students is admitted free. Additional adults $3/person.
